How to play

Choose how many dice

Use the picker to roll 1 to 10 dice at once. One die covers most everyday games.

Hit Roll

The dice animate and settle on random values between 1 and 6. Each face has exactly a 1-in-6 chance.

Read the result

Each face is shown individually and the total is calculated automatically: no mental math required.

Roll again if needed

Re-roll as many times as you like. Every roll is independent of the previous ones and perfectly fair.

When and why

Board games without dice on hand

Lost the Monopoly, Catan or Yahtzee dice? Roll here while you look for the box.

Tabletop RPG

For a simplified D&D session or a homebrew game, one die settles most skill checks and random events.

Pick by number

1 = option A, 2 = B, 3 = C… One die for a strictly fair choice among up to 6 options without any debate.

Classroom and education

Randomly pick who answers first, which exercise to work on, or what order teams present in.

Tips, variants & rules

Two dice for the classics

Monopoly, backgammon, Yahtzee, craps: select 2 dice and play exactly as you would on a physical table.

Advantage and disadvantage

Roll two dice and keep only the higher (advantage) or lower (disadvantage) value: borrowed from D&D 5e for extra tension.

Combine with the team generator

Roll a die to assign a bonus or handicap to each team before the game. Makes matches noticeably more unpredictable.

Simulate a weighted die

Build a Wheelo wheel with the six faces (1–6) and give some values more weight to simulate a loaded die effect.

Frequently asked questions

How many sides do the dice have?

These are standard six-sided dice (d6). Each face has exactly a 1-in-6 chance of landing on every single roll.

Is the roll truly random?

Yes. We use the browser's cryptographic random generator (Web Crypto), which is unpredictable enough for game use and comparable to a physical die.

Can I get 4, 8, 10 or 20-sided dice?

Not in this tool, but you can simulate any die using the Random Number generator by setting the right min and max bounds.

What is the displayed total for?

For games that combine multiple dice (Yahtzee, Monopoly, backgammon…), the total saves you the addition every single roll.
