How to play
Set an intention
Before drawing, frame an open question or a situation you want clarity on. The reading carries more weight when you arrive with a genuine intention.
Draw the cards
Hit Draw cards. Three cards are selected at random from the 22 Major Arcana and turned face up.
Read the three positions
The first card represents the Past (what shaped the situation), the second the Present (what is at play now), the third the Future (what is taking shape).
Interpret in your own way
The displayed meaning is a starting point, not a verdict. Let what resonates stay and set aside what doesn't fit your situation.
When and why
Stepping back from a situation
When a decision keeps going in circles, a draw offers an unexpected external angle: not an answer, but sometimes exactly the nudge you need.
Morning or weekly focus
Some people use the draw first thing as a focus point: the Present card becomes an intention for the day, a thought to carry through.
Mystic-themed evening
For a Halloween or séance-themed night with friends, the draw creates an immersive atmosphere: each person gets three cards and debates their meaning.
Journaling and reflection
Use the draw as a writing prompt: note the Present card and free-write what it brings up. A way to surface what you're already feeling.
Tips, variants & rules
Stay in a reflective mindset
The Wheelo tarot is a thinking tool, not a prediction engine. The cards don't tell you what will happen: they help you clarify what you already think.
Keep a record of your draws
Note the date, your question and the three cards. Reading back a few weeks later often reveals surprisingly coherent threads.
Draw just one card to keep it quick
If a full three-card spread feels like too much, focus only on the Present card. One card is enough for a daily focus point.
Pair it with the Magic 8-Ball
Start with a tarot draw to explore the context, then ask the Magic 8-Ball a closed question for a quick binary decision. The two complement each other well.
Frequently asked questions
Is this draw a real prediction?
No. This is a reflective tool, not divination. The cards drawn are random and their meanings are there to prompt your own thinking, not to predict future events.
Which cards are included?
The draw uses the 22 Major Arcana from the Tarot de Marseille (The Fool, The Magician, The High Priestess… through to The World). The 56 Minor Arcana are not included in this version.
Can you draw multiple times in a row?
Yes. Each draw is independent. If the same card comes up repeatedly across consecutive draws, some see that as a particularly strong signal.
Do you need to believe in tarot for it to be useful?
No. Even without belief, the draw works as a projection exercise: the cards provide a narrative frame that helps you put words to what you're sensing.
Will there be AI-powered personalised interpretations?
That feature is not available yet. For now, the classic meanings of each arcana are displayed directly beneath each card.
